WOW. No other word could describe the amazing and incredible weekend I had during this weekend's 2nd Annual Show-Me Burlesque Festival in St. Louis, MO. Thanks so much to Lola Van Ella, Sammich the Tramp, and Sturdy Gurlesque for allowing me to be a part of such a ridiculously awesome weekend of burlesque and entertainment. Tito Bonito performed "Cuba Libre" at the Crack Fox on Olive Street and here's some photographic evidence (thanks to Ricky Sherman).

This weekend The 8th Degree is road trippin' to St. Louis for the 2nd Annual Show-Me Burlesque Festival! The festival runs three days starting Thursday, May 12 through Saturday, May 14! Tito Bonito will be performing during the St. Lou Hoochie Coo at The Crack Fox (1114 Olive Street) on Friday, May 13 @ 11:30 pm featuring some fantastic performances by Tomahawk Tassels, Vivienne Vermuth, Josephine Shaker, Lola Martinet, and many more!

Starting tonight @ Hydrate, the 2nd Annual Windy City Burlesque Festival takes place in Chicago. The festival spans three days and features nearly 100 performers headlined by burlesque legends Michelle L'Amour, Miss Indigo Blue, & Lux LaCroix. Last year I made a video called "P Is For Pride" that featured the song "P Is For Power" by the beautiful and incredible ladies of Def Jam R&B group Electrik Red. After they saw the video, they requested a video with a remix of the song that included Lil' Cease. The song is now called "No P" and it is one of my favorites from the group. About a year ago I
ran across a Lady Gaga fan rem
ix
of her
current single at the time "LoveGame" and it was a pretty fierce extended
version fit for a
dance troupe and even a Gaga live concert show. So about a few days ago I
was searching for the remix and I stumbled across this fan made remix album
basically it's remixes of all her single minus a few plus a few album cuts.
Earlier this year Las Vegas producer DJ Dark Intensity did an entire remix
of Gaga's recent album, it was utter brilliance dance mixes.
But
what's different about this remix album as it's more for dancer of the
burlesque or high school dance teams. It's fun cute and if you like to give
concerts to your Teddy bears in your room while singing Lady Gaga, this
could give you a great setlist.

Yesterday was National Coming Out Day, which is an internationally observed civil awareness day for coming out and discussion about gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual and transgender (LGBT) issues. As part of its celebration, yours truly and my other half Ms. Jeez Loueez on behalf of The 8th Degree supported the NOH8 Campaign in its NOH8 Photoshoot in Chicago, Illinois.
The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska (www.bouska.net) and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8. Funds raised will be used to continue promoting and raising awareness for marriage equality and anti-discrimination through NOH8’s interactive media campaign.
The official photograph of The 8th Degree won't be released till late November but for now here's a mock graphic from the shoot.

A few updates to post about since I am a creature of change and cannot settle on one thing for too long, the official blog (click the photo of me looking at myself with the orange background in the header above) has got a brand-new layout and I promise to be updating it with a lot more than I have in the past few months including personal entries.
I will also be releasing my Rihanna fan-made remix album next month, Rated X, which I promise will give you brand-new ways to bump to your favorite Rihanna songs.

Tomorrow
the official premiere of No Respect will take place during the 2010
Chicago International REEL Shorts Film Festival at Columbia College. The
show starts at 1:30 pm (9.18.2010) and the film will be the final one
during that timeslot of the festival. I have yet to see the film in its
entirety so I am extremely excited to see the final product. I will be
there as well as other actors from the film, crew, and the director of the
film, Eric Townsend.

If you aren't aware, Xrossbreed
is a moniker I undertook right around 2002-03. I began remixing songs and
doing little changes to change the way I listen to my favorite songs. I
definitely have progressed throughout the years and earlier this year I
put out a mixtape of songs I have remixed, edited, mashup-ed, etc. [DOWNLOAD

I have made a few updates throughout the site including adding a link to my (and Jeez Loueez's) webshow The 8th Degree in the Multimedia section.
I have also re-vamped the Xrossbreed section which is now simply called the Portfolio section (under Media as well) and includes a few new graphics I have created including a poster for the latest film I worked on called No Respect. This Monday I will also release my Vol. 2 mixtape of my mixes and mashups I made to the section so make sure you check back for that as well as Vol. 1.
07.24.2010 | BROADZILLA BURLESQUE VIDEOS
I was the luckiest guy in the history of Burlesque on the night of June 25, 2010 when I was chosen not once but twice out of the audience to be a part of two of the finest burlesque dancers in the history of time. Below are videos of both performances starting off with THE INCOMPARABLE, the magnificently talented, www.theJeezLoueez.com's very own Jeez Loueez performing "Jasmine's Confessions" which I mixed (you can also listen to the mix below). The second performance was by world re-nowned Serenna Starr who performed No Doubt's "Bathwater". Enjoy!

06.23.2010 | THE 8TH DEGREE (NEW WEBSHOW)
On Monday night, June 28, 2010, the incomparable Jeezy McNeezy (a.k.a. Jeez Loueez) and yours truly will premiere the first episode of our new webshow The 8th Degree on Ustream. Exact time and promotional material will be made available before the weekend is over but I definitely wanted to give everyone a heads up to make sure you tune in Monday night to check us out. It will be filled with everything you need, basic information about hanging out, what's going on in our lives, current and upcoming projects, and so much more so you definitely don't want to miss out. If you do so happen to miss out, no worries, each show will be recorded live for playback purposes so get into it...The 8th Degree, Monday night, June 28 at 10PM Central Time (11PM Eastern).
06.20.2010 | THE FUNERAL SCENE
So I'm not sure if I can legally post this scene but we're going to give it a shot until someone tells us not to, right? I am posting a portion of the funeral scene from the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street that I worked on as an extra. You can see me in the first shot ALL the way to the far right with my good friend Emily Dahm and another time shortly after everyone gets up (just the back of my head, but HEY MY HAIRCUT IS FAMOUS!) Also in this scene are my other good friends, Amber Linde, David Marlowe, and new friend Brad Lavery.

05.31.2010 | IN THEATERS NOW!
Don't forget to catch a glimpse of yours truly in the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street which is still playing in theatres now. It's during the funeral scene in the first 20 minutes of the film. You know, not to brag or anything but it's pretty dope anyways. And if you don't like horror films and where to only see the first 20 minutes and then go see another movie, that would be between you and your God. Not that I'm condoning that or anything but you would be able to see me and the back of my head.

Welcome back to my website and hope you guys like the new layout. This is
going to be a less professional and more creative environment for my work.
My acting career will definitely be the focus but I hope to also be able
to touch on other aspects of my creativity and craft such as my graphic
designs, music videos, and remixes that I enjoy making and sharing.
As of right now, I am currently auditioning for various works and hope to have something new to tell you all about very soon. You can also expect a new Photo Gallery this month with a new set of headshots that I will be taking when I head home to Miami in a few weeks.
